| The Samsung 5490M is a lightweight, powerful upright vacuum cleaner with on-board cleaning attachments that help in cleaning stairs and upholstery. The vacuum also uses bags, and has a HEPA filter, to help capture microscopic particles from exhausting back into the air you breathe. With a 7 level height adjustment, the vacuum may be adjusted to any surface of floors from bare surfaces to thick high piled carpets. The clean air bypass system, vacuums the dirt from the floor, then immediately drops into a multi-layered dust bag, and then the air is pulled through the motor. This prevents any dirty and dust from traveling through the motor like many less expensive vacuums do (dirty air vacuum), which ultimately will lessen the life expectancy of the vacuum cleaner. The belt is easily maintained, and doesn't even require tools to change. Ultimately for the price, the Samsung 5490 is a great buy, and should last between 7-10 years if properly maintained. |
